  45. I have only one idea and I'm not sure how useful it is. Checksum errors are
  46. not too serious as they are generally just corrupted data rather than actual
  47. physical damage (I think). What you may have to do is use a disk sector
  48. editor to attempt to repair some of the data. This job may just be impossible,
  49. really your best option may be to save as much stuff as possible and reformat
  50. the hard drive. Your rom should be fine, probably what has happened is that 
  51. some directory information has been destroyed, addresses etc (hopefully
  52. someone else who knows more about this will be able to give you some more info)
