- I have only one idea and I'm not sure how useful it is. Checksum errors are
- not too serious as they are generally just corrupted data rather than actual
- physical damage (I think). What you may have to do is use a disk sector
- editor to attempt to repair some of the data. This job may just be impossible,
- really your best option may be to save as much stuff as possible and reformat
- the hard drive. Your rom should be fine, probably what has happened is that
- some directory information has been destroyed, addresses etc (hopefully
- someone else who knows more about this will be able to give you some more info)
